Chicago Wrigley Field

Where is the best place to sit in the ballpark?

More than half of all seats at Wrigley Field offer some type of shade or cover so you can see better but getting the best seating depends on the time of day you will be going.

During the early afternoon, the areas with the most shade tend to be the 200 level seating and the upper deck 300 and 400 level seating. Word of caution is that some of these seats will have views directly behind supporting beams so some viewing could be obstructed.

For games in the later afternoon, the shaded seating are those that run along the 3rd base line. For level 100 section seating, anywhere between home plate and the left field foul pole can offer good shade. Mezzanine and upper deck sections will give you good shade as well, but some seats could have obstructed views as well.

Which rooftop is best?

If you want to enjoy food, drinks, friends, and an incredible view of the game then you should check out the following rooftop bars:

Wrigley View Rooftop – enjoy this rooftop that has three levels to it. The views are awesome and you’ll get unlimited beef from Buona Beef. You can enjoy unlimited drinks well through the 7th inning as well. Make sure to purchase your tickets at https://wrigleyview.com/tickets.html

Murphy’s Rooftop Company – another great place to enjoy the game with great views, great friends, solid food and your favorite beers.

What should I wear to a Cubs game?

Your attire should always be weather dependent but keep in mind that the park is extremely casual. On a hot summer day you should wear shorts, sneakers, light t-shirts, and of course some sun glasses and a hat. Women can wear flats or sandals but you’ll probably feel out of place if you wear a dress.

On cooler days you’ll want to wear jeans, sneakers and long sleeve shirts or even heavier sweaters. The sun can make a big difference so you might find yourself wearing something much heavier in the shade than what you’ll wear out in the sun.

Of course, you'd fit in much better with any gear you have that’s Cubs related!

Can I bring bottled water to Wrigley Field?

Yes, you are allowed to bring in plastic water bottles that have never been opened. You can also bring in a personal amount of food as long as it fits into a small disposable bag. Under no circumstance can you bring in glass bottles, beer cans, or coolers of any kind. If you’d like more information on prohibited items you can go here.

How about a purse, can I bring that into the ballpark?

Yes, you may bring in your purse as long as it is smaller than 9x5 inches. If you have a medical condition you can also bring in a medical bag, and those who are accompanied by a small child may also bring in a diaper bag with necessities for your child.
